Halifax is an awesome place to be during the summertime. And even though Canada Day has passed, there are still plenty of festivals, events and activities for you and your family to enjoy. As a new Halifax NS condo owner, this is the perfect opportunity for you to get out and get to know your neighbors. Here’s the rundown for what’s happening in August.

Celebrate the city’s 118th Halifax-Dartmouth Natal Day July 31st to August 5th at the Bell Aliant Natal Day Festival. Perfect for all ages, this six day event is filled with live concerts, a comedy show, fireworks show, parade and much more.

Also running from July 31st to August 5th is the Halifax International Busker Festival. Running daily from noon to 10:00 pm, this event is absolutely free. Just don’t forget to tip the performers in the busker hats.

KISS returns to Nova Scotia after last performing here in 1999. Headlining the KISS Monster Tour 2013, they’ll be rocking it out at the Halifax Metro Centre on August 1st. American hard rock band, Shinedown, is the opening act. This is a must see show for rock enthusiasts! And since the venue isn’t too far from your condo in Halifax NS, you can walk or carpool to the venue.
