About POLYCORP

The beginning

From modest beginnings 30 years ago as a renovator of rooming houses, POLYCORP has grown to be one of the most respected builders in Nova Scotia. Our focus on new construction began in 2002 with the creation of the community of Mont Blanc Terrace, comprised of 41 townhomes and two four-storey apartment buildings. This project won Best ICF Development in North America in 2005.

On to condos

Spice Condos, the funky ‘mustard and paprika’-coloured 85-unit condominium on the corner of Cornwallis and Barrington was next to be constructed. It won first prize for Best Multi-Family Development in North America at the ICF Awards in 2011.

Let’s make a neighbourhood

The beautiful neighbourhood of Ravenscraig at Fleming Park came next. With 76 large craftsman-style, single-family homes, this master-planned community seamlessly fits into its surroundings. POLYCORP buried all the lines, created a park, and left trees standing.

A condo off Maynard? You’re nuts.

That’s what people thought when we broke ground in 2012. Not so much now. Smack dab in the middle of an eclectic neighbourhood close to everything, Q Lofts, our 72-suite condominium on Roberts Street in Halifax’s north end, is urban living at its finest.

This over-the-top energy efficient building was awarded the prestigious Platinum Designation by the world’s leading third-party green building rating system, LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design). Q Lofts is a one-of-a-kind condominium in Canada.
